Aimee will be presenting on "Successfully Handling Disciplinary Actions for Students With Disabilities" for National Business Institute (NBI) on April 30, 2026.
Aimee's presentation is a part of NBI's course "Pennsylvania Special Education Law" which also features sessions on the requirements of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Section 504 Plans, and ensuring success in special education due process hearings.
The discipline topic is timely as we near the end of the school year when behavior concerns can spike and student discipline can become a bit more common. The session will cover Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs), behavior intervention plans, laws and regulations governing disciplinary removals from school, and considerations for expedited disciplinary due process hearings.
